Tresillian is opening in Launceston, Tasmania! The new Tresillian Parents and Baby Centre in Launceston is due to be operational by mid November 2025. The Centre will feature both Residential and Day Services.

Tresillian is currently recruiting for a Nursing Unit Manager to lead the team for our new Facility in Launceston, Tasmania which should be opening mid November 2025.
Tresillian will be opening a new Residential Unit which provides care 24 hours per day, 5 days a week rotating roster and also a Day Services providing care Monday to Friday.
The Nursing Unit Manager is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Centre. The NUM takes overall responsibility for the standard of client care in the Centre and is pivotal to the coordination of client care, centre management and leadership of the nursing profession to ensure the delivery of high quality client care and efficient use of resources.
The position will also provide clinical leadership and have a clinical client load for part of the time.

Selection Criteria – Applicants must address the Selection Criteria
1) Registered Nurse (Current Registration or eligible for registration with AHPRA) with further qualifications in Child and Family Health
2) Postgraduate management qualification or working towards the same and experience in leadership or management roles in a health setting with a proven ability to manage, supervise and provide leadership to the team; and demonstrate sound judgment in decision making.
3) Considerable experience in contemporary Child and Family Health
4) Demonstrated ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict, creating and maintain a positive workplace culture
5) Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical services and facilitate continuous improvements
6) Demonstrate high level and effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
7) Experience in developing and/or implementing organisational change programs
8) Demonstrated organisational skills including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines utilising information and communications technology appropriately
9) Current drivers licence
