Are you a dynamic and hands-on leader ready to drive excellence in patient care and operational success? The Eye Hospital (TEH) is seeking an experienced and motivated CEO/Director of Nursing (CEO/DoN) to lead our high-performing team and maintain our reputation as a leading provider in the day surgery sector.
About us
The Eye Hospital has 3 operating theatres utilising the latest state-of-the-art equipment together with a fully equipped first and second stage recovery unit. Theatre facilities for dental, Ophthalmology and plastic & reconstructive procedures requiring general anaesthesia are also performed in the safe and controlled environment of the hospital.
As CEO/DoN, you will play a key leadership role in shaping the hospital’s strategic direction, driving operational excellence, and upholding the highest standards of clinical care.
This position ideally will start in Dec 2025/January 2026
Who We’re Looking For

Key Qualifications & Experience
AHPRA Registration (Current & Relevant)
Postgraduate qualification in Nursing and/or Management
5+ years’ post-graduate nursing experience
1+ year in a leadership/administrative role (Nursing Unit Manager level or above)
2+ years of clinical knowledge and/or experience as a Perioperative Ophthalmology Registered Nurse
Strong knowledge of ACQSHC National Standards, industrial relations, risk management, and accreditation requirements
Business acumen, including an understanding of health funding models and financial management
Practical / Specialist Skills
Computer literacy in Microsoft programs, including Outlook
Excel & spreadsheet management experience (advantageous)
Ability to understand & interpret budgets and financial data
Maintain clinical skills to provide support when required
