About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of a growing financial advice firm, delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to the leadership team.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and operational aspects of finance, from managing budgets and reporting to contributing to process improvement as the business scales.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll support strong decision-making through visibility over performance, cash flow and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial reports with analysis and commentary
Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable and debtor management
Reconcile adviser commissions and prepare associated payments
Ensure compliance with BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax & Superannuation obligations
Partner with leadership on finance strategy and process improvements
As the business continues to grow, there is scope for broader operational involvement and corporate support.
About You
You’re a proactive, commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a role with variety. You can move confidently between detailed transactional work and higher-level financial management, and you’re comfortable working with stakeholders across the business.
You’ll bring:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance management or senior accounting role
Experience in preparing management reports, budgets and forecasts
Strong systems and reporting capability (Xero and Excel highly regarded)
Practical understanding of operational finance processes and compliance requirements
Experience within financial services, wealth management or commission-based environments is advantageous, but not essential.
