Amity Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Mental Health Professional to join our Integrated Primary Mental Health Care (IPMHC) Program, delivering free psychological therapy and counselling services, to the Wheatbelt community of Narrogin (and surrounding areas).
About the Program
Funded by the WA Primary Health Alliance, the IPMHC Program provides free support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges across regional WA. The program offers counselling services and clinical care coordination through three tailored service streams:
· Wellbeing Counselling
· Mental Health Therapy
· Clinical Care Coordination
About the Role
This is a meaningful opportunity to make a genuine difference in people’s lives. As a compassionate and skilled clinician, you will:
Deliver individual counselling and therapy sessions (face-to-face, telephone, and digital) in line with program deliverables.
Apply a trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic approach to support positive client outcomes.
Conduct psychosocial and wellbeing assessments to identify needs, risks, and strengths.
Develop, implement, and review collaborative care plans with clients.
Support clients to identify goals, build coping strategies, and strengthen resilience.
Work in partnership with general practices and community service providers to achieve shared outcomes.
This is a part-time position (4 days per week / 60.4 hours per fortnight) based in Narrogin. Some regional travel may be required to support outreach service delivery.
About You
You’re a values based, team-oriented clinician, who builds strong partnerships and keeps clients and colleagues at the centre of your work. You will have:
A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, or a related discipline.
Current AHPRA registration or AASW membership.
Demonstrated experience in a mental health setting with clients of varied needs and complexity.
Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and case management.
A current National Police Clearance and WA Driver’s Licence.
