Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA (AOWA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Health Lead to join our small, dedicated team. This part-time role (0.5 FTE) offers a fantastic opportunity for an accredited exercise physiologist, or similar health professional to plan and lead high-quality education and service delivery programs that make a real difference in the lives of people living with arthritis and osteoporosis.

About the Role

As our Health Lead, you will play a key role in improving musculoskeletal health outcomes across Western Australia. This position requires a high level of autonomy and clinical health expertise, making it ideal for a qualified and experienced exercise physiologist, or similar health professional with a passion for community and health education, innovation, quality and governance.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning, coordinating and delivering high-quality health professional and consumer education and support activities across metropolitan and regional communities

Designing and maintaining high-quality, evidence-based resources for consumers, health professionals, and community groups

Facilitating group and individual education and workshops, both in-person and online

Providing specialist input and mentoring to program staff and volunteers

Supporting community engagement activities, grants, campaigns, and research initiatives

Monitoring program outcomes to ensure quality and continuous improvement

Representing AOWA at forums, conferences, and community events as required

This role may occasionally require work or travel outside standard office hours for events and workshops.

What You'll Bring

To be considered, you must meet all of the following essential criteria:

Essential Requirements

A tertiary qualification in exercise physiology or related clinical health discipline

Current registration with ESSA (or an equivalent national professional regulatory body)

A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in a clinical, community health, or health education role

Strong understanding of musculoskeletal health and chronic disease self-management principles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences

High-level written communication, including resource development and reporting

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver outcomes on time

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online delivery platforms (e.g. Zoom, Teams)

Desirable

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience in adult learning
