About the role
- Be the first point of contact for patients - manage appointments, handle calls with care, and provide friendly, professional service to patients, families, and clinical teams.
- Keep everything running seamlessly - coordinate bookings, transport, interpreters, and liaise with departments such as Veterans' Affairs and Health Information Services.
- Use your attention to detail - maintain accurate electronic medical records, prepare reports, letters, and ensure all documentation is filed and processed efficiently.
- Support clinical excellence - assist with clinical trials, country clinics, and administrative processes that contribute directly to quality patient care.
- Be part of a team that values collaboration - help improve procedures, manage supplies, and provide relief support across the department when needed.
About you
- Proven experience in healthcare administration - you understand the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and compassion when supporting patients and clinical teams.
- Excellent communication skills - you're confident interacting with patients, families, and colleagues, with strong written and verbal abilities.
- Strong organisation and time management - you can juggle multiple priorities, stay calm under pressure, and always meet deadlines.
- Tech-savvy and detail-oriented - you're proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiar with systems such as Medical Records and Medicare HPOS.
- A team player with initiative - you work well independently, show great problem-solving skills, and approach every task with professionalism and care.
