Competitive remuneration package up to $161,711 p.a. (package includes salary between $129,464 - $142,665 p.a., plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

About the Opportunity
As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the Library’s financial transactions, ensuring the integrity of accounting systems, and delivering accurate and timely corporate and statutory reporting.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial stewardship of a respected public institution while working in a collaborative and values-driven environment.
Some key responsibilities:
Prepare annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and Treasury requirements.
Manage monthly accounts, including authorising month-end entries and reviewing reconciliations.
Ensure valuation of assets are performed in accordance with the quality standards relevant for the Library’s asset portfolio.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a qualified accounting professional with extensive experience in financial reporting and compliance within a complex organisation. Your ability to manage competing priorities, navigate shared services environments, and lead high-volume processes with precision will be key to your success.
You will also have:
CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience preparing statutory financial statements and liaising with auditors.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and government reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
