Our Client: Our client is a large and well-established manufacturer with a strong footprint across Australia and New Zealand. Known for its commitment to innovation and high-quality products, the business supports several leading brands in the construction and consumer goods sectors. They are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their collaborative finance team and play a pivotal role in maintaining financial governance, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position will:

• Lead statutory and financial reporting for multiple entities across Australia and New Zealand.
  
  
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  
  
• Manage external audits and liaise with auditors and external advisors.
  
  
• Support tax compliance activities including BAS, FBT, and income tax returns.
  
  
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
  
  
• Drive process and system improvements, leveraging BI tools (Power BI, QlikView, TM1).
  
  
• Partner with the broader finance and operational teams to deliver meaningful insights and support strategic decisions.
  
  
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior finance staff.
  
  

About You

• CA/CPA qualified, with 5+ years of relevant experience in financial and statutory reporting.
  
  
• Strong technical accounting and compliance skills within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  
  
• Confident communicator who can collaborate across functions.
  
  
• Highly proficient in Excel and ERP systems; experience with BI tools advantageous.
  
  
• Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable with a strong eye for process improvement.
