About the role

Deli Republic is seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef or Chef de partie to join our tight-knit team at our deli/café in Rosebery. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality relaxed cuisine, in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

Assist in the preparation and cooking of all menu items to the highest standards

Work closely and provide leadership to small kitchen team

Ensuring efficient workflows and timely service

Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen

Contribute to the development of new menu items and the continuous improvement of existing dishes

Apply food safety and hygiene standards at all times

Assist with inventory management

What we're looking for

At least 2 years experience in a similar Sous Chef or Chef de partie role

Previous experience with face-paced service preferred

Strong technical cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking methods

Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organisational abilities

The ability to communicate clearly

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and quality

Weekend work is essential

Long term position - not suitable for working holiday visas
