Are you an experienced and passionate turf manager looking to take the next step in your career? Altone Park Golf Course is seeking a talented 2IC (Assistant Superintendent) to join our dynamic team in Beechboro, Western Australia. This full-time role will see you play a crucial part in the ongoing maintenance and development of our busy 9 hole golf course.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in the daily operations and management of the golf course

Oversee and coordinate the works to ensure optimum course conditions

Implement and monitor maintenance schedules for turf, landscaping, and other course assets

Identify and address any issues or concerns with the course, liaising with the Superintendent

Assist with project planning and execution, including course renovations and improvements

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and industry regulations

Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of golf course operations

What we're looking for

Must have Cert. 3 in horticulture (Turf management) or higher

Minimum 4 years' experience in a golf course maintenance or similar role

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with the Superintendent, team, and stakeholders

Proficient in the use of golf course maintenance equipment

Experience with machinery maintenance and irrigation repairs

A valid driver's licence and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

Must have Australian permanent residency or citizenship
