About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Supervisor Resource Recovery, this role assists in overseeing the day-to-day duties of the Resource Recovery Facility to deliver services effectively and efficiently.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have the following:
- Construction Induction Training Card (white card)
- ‘C’ (Manual) class driver’s licence allowing the holder to drive legally in Western Australia is mandatory
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Controller (TC) tickets (desirable)
- Qualification in asbestos identification and removal
- Basic First Aid Training (desirable)
- Possession of a current ‘HR’ (Heavy Rigid)
- Loader ticket
Essential Criteria
- Experience working in waste management/transfer stations.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership of teams and contractors with the ability to motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Well-developed interpersonal, dispute resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of safe operation procedures and user maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Proven competence in the use of computer applications such as apps, MS Office and email.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Awareness and understanding of environmental issues and practices.
- Experience in asbestos identification and removal.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
Hours of Work
This is permanent full-time position working 76 hours from Thursday to Monday with every second Monday being a rostered day off. Penalty rates apply for working on the weekend as well as an operations and adverse conditions allowance.
- Thursday to Friday: 6.45am to 3.45pm
- Saturday to Sunday: 7am to 4pm
- Monday: 6.45am to 3.15pm (every second Monday a rostered day off)
About the Benefits
This position offers a salary of $76,688 – $79,011 per annum, plus penalty rates for working weekends, plus superannuation. Other inclusions are an operational allowance, adverse condition allowance, annual increments, industrial agreement increases, a generous superannuation co-contribution scheme, 22 days annual leave with 17.5% loading and personal leave.
