About the role
You will be a key contributor to student inclusion, retention and success at Federation University, providing expert advice, training and support to improve outcomes for neurodivergent students and strengthen neuroinclusive practice across the institution. The position delivers specialised guidance for students with conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other learning differences, and collaborates with academic and professional staff to build capability in inclusive teaching and communication.
You will:
- provide individualised support and case management for neurodivergent students;
lead and contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of service improvement projects, initiatives and pilot programs that enhance neuroinclusive practice, accessibility and student success; - ensure detailed and confidential records are maintained for all student interactions, workshops and projects; and
- establish and maintain professional networks with academic and professional staff to embed neuroinclusive practice within teaching, learning and student support.
About you
You will demonstrate a strong knowledge of neurodiversity, inclusive practice and assistive technologies, and a proven ability to engage effectively with both students and staff to achieve equitable learning outcomes.
You will possess demonstrated:
- experience in managing a client caseload involving neurodivergent people;
- understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive education principles, including Universal Design for Learning and evidence based approaches;
- understanding of the University environment, including the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation;
- interpersonal, communication, consultation, influencing and negotiation skills; and
- ability to collect and analyse data, evaluate neurodiversity initiatives, and prepare professional reports, resources and digital materials.
