What our new HR Coordinator looks like
We’re looking for a HR Coordinator – someone with 3–5 years’ experience in an HR administration or coordination role who’s ready to take the next step in their HR career. This is a development role for someone with a growth mindset, eager to learn in a fast-paced consulting environment and progress into a HR Consultant position within the next 1–2 years.
You’ll work closely with our Consultants and Managing Director, supporting the delivery of client projects and internal initiatives. The ideal person is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and proactive - someone who enjoys creating order, developing systems and processes, and bringing professionalism and polish to their work.
Key Responsibilities
Support Consultants and Managing Director with delivery of HR services across a wide range of clients and sectors.
Draft high-quality HR documents and correspondence, including position descriptions, contracts, policies, and reports.
Provide hands-on support with recruitment processes, including preparing job ads, managing workflows, coordinating interviews, and liaising with candidates and clients.
Assist with client meetings, including background research, document preparation, and follow-up actions.
Conduct research and contribute to HR frameworks, proposals, and client reports.
Maintain and update internal templates, resources, and project systems.
Support client communications and brand activities (e.g., newsletters, HR updates, social media content).
Participate in internal planning, learning, and development sessions as part of a collaborative team environment.
What We’re Looking For
A degree in human resources, law, psychology, business, or a related field.
Around 3–5 years of administration or coordination experience.
Proven ability to keep multiple work streams moving - you plan ahead, organise well and close loops.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and presentation.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail - you take pride in producing polished, professional work.
Confidence using technology and digital tools (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ChatGPT, Canva and similar) to work collaboratively.
A proactive mindset and willingness to learn, create processes as you go, and grow into a consulting role.
What We Offer
Mentoring and coaching from skilled, supportive colleagues within a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
Team and Career Development with a focus on building capability in human resources, industrial relations, as well as consulting skills.
Annual professional development allowance of up to $1000 to attend agreed professional development opportunities aligned to your experience and career goals (i.e., conferences, paid courses, etc).
Generous additional leave - 5 weeks annual leave (including 3 days of Christmas leave, birthday leave and wellness leave).
Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work and adaptable hours for the right candidate.
How to Apply
Please submit:
A cover letter that shows you’ve genuinely considered this role and why you’d be a great fit.
A CV outlining your career history, education, volunteer experience, professional memberships, and references.
Application tips:
You’re welcome to use tools like ChatGPT, just use them smartly. Let them help you refine your ideas, not write them for you. We want to hear your authentic voice, not AI filler, and we’ll notice if you’ve taken the time to edit out the tell-tale signs.
Your application is also your opportunity to demonstrate attention to detail, creativity, and marketing flair. We’d love to see how you present information visually, so feel free to showcase your design sense and create documents that are polished, engaging, and uniquely you.
Applications close Friday 28th November, though appointments may be made earlier. Please note, process may include video interviews, psychometrics, in-person interviews, work samples and reference/compliance checks.
For questions, contact Tara Roopra, Senior Consultant, on (08) 6219 7102 or [email protected] for a confidential conversation.
