What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assess and report on development and subdivision applications
  • Provide expert planning advice to stakeholders
  • Mentor and supervise Planning Officers
  • Represent the City at SAT, DAP, and external forums
  • Lead pre-lodgement meetings and stakeholder engagement
  • Oversee compliance investigations and site inspections
  • Prepare reports for Council and external authorities
  • Support process improvement and policy development

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a planning professional with a passion for community impact. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Urban & Regional Planning (or related)
  • Strong knowledge of WA planning legislation and processes
  • Proven decision-making and judgement skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Experience in customer service within a regulatory environment
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and manage performance
