Are you looking to grow your accounting career in a supportive and dynamic environment? We're seeking an organised and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our client on a 6 month contract, based in Perth, CBD.

The Role
This role will see you take responsibility for a broad range of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Preparing BAS, PAYG, and other statutory returns

About You

• Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or similar
• 2-4 years' experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping position
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
