The Opportunity

The finance team provides accounting services and support for multiple divisions whose activities include commercial property, investment, an adventure centre, and administrative services. Reporting to the Finance Accountant, the Assistant Accountant works with other members of the finance team to ensure financial transactions are processed in line with accounting policies and procedures. Your responsibilities include:

Preparing and processing general ledger journals

Reconciling divisional balance sheets

Maintaining the fixed asset register

Generating financial reports

Assisting the Financial Accountant in the preparation of annual financial statements, BAS returns and other regulatory reports

About You

You have a relevant degree, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role and may be working towards a professional accounting qualification. Proficiency in TechnologyOne is highly regarded, or otherwise the ability to learn new systems quickly. You possess a high attention to detail and accuracy and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
