Are you passionate about sustainability and making a real impact on your community? Osborne Richardson are assisting one of Sydney's councils with an Environmental Project Officer to help deliver innovative programs that protect and enhance council's natural and built environments.

About the Role

As the Environmental Project Officer, you’ll develop and implement sustainability projects, policies, and community engagement initiatives. You’ll work across climate action, water efficiency, and environmental education — turning awareness into real outcomes for a greener future. This will be a contract until April 2026, with potential to extend even further.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental programs, policies and initiatives.
• Coordinate Council’s climate change response and sustainability actions.
• Support sustainable design and resource management in new developments.
• Prepare reports, grant submissions and educational materials.
• Engage with community groups, stakeholders and residents on sustainability issues.
• Monitor and report on environmental performance across Council operations.

About You

• Degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in environmental sustainability or local government projects.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Knowledge of current sustainability and climate change practices.
• Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.
