The Client

A well-established educational institution in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, recognised for its strong community and commitment to excellence. With over 250 staff, this organisation values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across all areas of its operations.

The Role

A newly created position offering the opportunity to shape and deliver the organisation's HR strategy. Reporting to the Business Manager, this role provides both strategic and hands-on HR support across all facets of the employee lifecycle.

• Lead HR operations, policy development and compliance
• Act as Return-to-Work Coordinator and manage related processes
• Provide advice on workforce planning and employee relations
• Support leaders with performance management and staff wellbeing initiatives
• Collaborate with Business Manager, Finance team and Staffing Committee
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of HR frameworks and culture

Skills / Experience Required

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business
• Strong HR generalist experience within a complex organisation
• Leadership or advisory experience across multiple HR functions
• Sound understanding of compliance, legislation and best practice
• Return-to-Work coordination experience (desirable)
• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
