Job Description

We are expanding our IT team, currently consisting of 3 members, and seeking a new team member to provide internal and external help desk support from the office and onsite. You will receive on-the-job training for applications specific to the security industry, running on standard off-the-shelf server and networking equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide helpdesk support to field technicians (servers, workstations, networking, and applications)

Provide helpdesk support to clients (application support and initial fault diagnostics)

Deploy patches, upgrades, and new versions of applications

Perform data backups, backup testing, and data restoration

Maintain IT hardware – desktops, laptops, servers, peripherals

Pre-stage new builds (configuration of servers, network, and edge devices)

Commission new builds (application configuration and documentation signoff)

Develop and maintain documentation

Skills and Qualifications

Experience in:

System administration (general SQL and application understanding)

Intermediate SQL scripting knowledge required for system administration tasks

Network administration (network fundamentals and HP or Cisco knowledge)

Server administration (Microsoft-based operating systems)

Background in ICT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or related roles

Minimum 1-2 years experience in ICT Support, Service Desk, or related roles required

Strong communication skills with a background in customer service is desirable

Process-oriented with attention to detail

Self-learning ability

Strong fault-finding skills

Proficiency in writing and maintaining documentation

Australian permanent residency required for this position
