We’re looking for an energetic and proactive People & Culture Coordinator to take ownership of our people strategy and day-to-day HR operations.
This stand-alone role is both strategic and hands-on, providing the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of initiatives that strengthen our culture, capability, and employee experience. You’ll partner with senior leaders to drive meaningful outcomes while managing the practical, day-to-day people functions that keep the business moving.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and implement people and culture strategies, systems, and policies that align with organisational goals and values.
• Lead workforce planning, organisational development, and change management initiatives.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, and retention.
• Oversee visa sponsorships and applications for new and existing employees, ensuring compliance with immigration and employment legislation.
• Provide practical advice and coaching to leaders on people management and employee relations.
• Champion company values through engagement, wellbeing, and recognition programs.
• Ensure HR practices comply with all relevant legislation and reflect best practice.
• Use HR and workforce data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Support workplace health, safety, and wellbeing programs across the organisation
About You
You’re a people-focused professional who enjoys the variety of both strategic work and hands-on delivery. You’re confident managing day-to-day HR operations while leading initiatives that drive real change. You’ll bring:
• A qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role with both strategic and operational scope.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage people at all levels.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience overseeing visa management and sponsorship compliance (desirable).
• Experience in the maritime or related industries will be highly regarded.
How to apply
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your resume along with a cover letter telling us what you believe you could bring to the role, and why you’d be a great fit for our team.
