Site Supervisor

Position Overview:

As our Site Supervisor you will be responsible for managing and solely running the entire site works and activities on a daily basis, working closely with the Projects Manager to successfully complete the project from Demolition through all phases of construction until successful completion and handing over to the happy client,

Majority of our projects are for the Land and housing Department in the Design and construction of Class 2 medium density residential units

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the project, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.

Supervise and coordinate/ organizing and booking in site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers through all stages of construction with clear accountable direction, guidance, and support to ensure project objectives are met.

Ensuring all trades and employees on site are working correctly and needs to have full control of all activities on site and In-depth knowledge of stages being worked on, starting with hourly walk through all areas to ensure correct activities are occurring,

Having a strong proactive approach rather than reactive to all upcoming trades and understanding the importance of planning ahead both with suppliers/ material and subcontractors schedules and open communication to avoid issues on site.

Monitor and maintain the highest quality standards throughout the construction process, documenting and conducting inspections and quality checks regularly for key milestones.

Working alongside our site WHS officer to enforce a safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.

Maintain open and transparent communication with the Project manager, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring project is on track.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily site diary, pre starts, Inductions, Itps, progress reports, permits, and compliance records at all stages

Identify and resolve construction-related issues, early warning and proactive approach to issues and ability to find and troubleshoot on the go, and adapt to changing project conditions.

Create and manage construction schedules/ programs, making necessary adjustments to meet project milestones and deadlines.

Coordinate the procurement of materials and manage supplier relationships to maintain a steady flow of construction materials.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Min 5 years experience in a construction supervisory role in medium density class 2 construction.

Must have in depth knowledge of all stages of residential class 2 construction (carpentry trade or builders background preferred)

Good leadership and team management skills.

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.

Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with project management tools and software.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
