Are you an accomplished senior executive with experience leading complex member-based or hospitality organisations? Commercially astute with operational discipline?
Club Dubbo is one of the leading clubs in NSW's Central West. With a population of around 55,000, Dubbo is one of Australia's most significant regional cities and has grown to be the hub of NSW's Central West. It is a booming city with great facilities including modern cafes, excellent private and public schools, extensive sporting facilities, major regional airport and fully rebuilt hospital along with all the facilities that come with such a vibrant and popular city.
Club Dubbo boasts a 200 seat bistro, 150 seat function room, three world class bowling greens. The club also manages/owns a property portfolio that includes two motels and other local properties.
The club is in great shape financially and the board is in the process of renewing our strategic plan for the next period of the Club’s life and look forward to the new CEO’s input to that plan.
The new CEO will come with a range of qualities suitable to managing a large regional club. You must be community oriented; customer service focused; results driven; committed to your teams through excellence in leadership; act with integrity and honesty and work closely with the Board to carry out directives and provide the Board with solid, informative, and guiding information.
To be successful in this role as CEO, The Board will expect that the person will demonstrate the following attributes;
• Ability to develop and execute strategic planning principles along with strategic thinking;
• Ability to manage the agreed vision and direction;
• Ability to manage and lead effective teams;
• Ability to motivate teams to share the Club's vision and to continue to achieve in line with that vision;
• Ability to demonstrate innovation in all areas of management;
• Ability to embrace modern management and leadership principles;
• Ability to guide the Club through growth and change;
• Ability to focus on outcomes for not only financial results but people achievement results;
• Aptitude for higher level communication, negotiation and problem solving; and
• Ability to build relationships at all levels and with all stakeholders of the business, always demonstrating a constructive approach.
The Board of Directors are looking forward to welcoming a new CEO to work with them to realise the future of the Club. With this in mind, the new CEO would expect to;
• Work with a Board who are positive about the future of the club and the fundamental role that the Club plays in the community;
• Have the support of the Board and senior managers to grow the business in line with the agreed strategy;
• Enjoy multiple challenges and projects;
• Be able to manage the business in its entirety whilst managing the profitability of each department within the business;
• Be instrumental in the setting, execution and delivery of budgets;
• Be supported with the growth and development of your teams so that they are motivated to continue to achieve;
• Be encouraged to continue your own self development and continued improvement at all levels;
• Continue to engage with the great community of Dubbo & surrounds; and
• Be rewarded for your ongoing ability to achieve results.
The new CEO will be business savvy and be able to work well with the Board of Directors. You will understand the importance of the Club within a regional community and be able to develop genuine relationships with key stakeholders within the Dubbo community. Your professionalism will never be in question and the pride in your work will be evident. If you have completed studies in business or management, this will also be highly regarded.
