Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – MateCare
Location: Central Coast, NSW (hybrid/remote flexibility)
Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing
Remuneration: $150,000 + super + performance bonus (up to 15%)
Reports to: Advisory Board

The Opportunity
MateCare is entering an exciting new phase of growth. We’re seeking a hands-on, capable CEO to provide strategic direction and operational leadership across MateCare and PBS Practitioners.
Reporting to the Advisory Board, you’ll oversee compliance, governance, financial performance, and culture. You’ll guide a skilled team, strengthen partnerships, and drive initiatives that improve service quality and participant outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead MateCare’s operations, strategy, and culture with integrity and accountability
Deliver strong financial and operational results while maintaining full NDIS compliance
Implement and monitor growth strategies aligned with the organisation’s mission
Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team
Strengthen stakeholder relationships across government, community, and the sector
Provide clear, evidence-based reporting to the Advisory Board
Champion continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery
About You
You’re a grounded and decisive leader who’s motivated by purpose, not ego. You thrive in practical, fast-moving environments and know how to balance strategy with day-to-day action.
Essential Skills and Experience
Executive or senior leadership experience in disability, health, or community services
Strong knowledge of NDIS governance and compliance frameworks
Proven experience in scaling or stabilising service organisations
Financial literacy and commercial acumen
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Collaborative leadership style and commitment to ethical decision-making
Desirable
Postgraduate qualifications in business, leadership, or health management
Experience in justice-related or behavioural support programs
