About the Role
Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst is on the lookout for an experienced Injury Management & Wellbeing Advisor to lead the coordination of return-to-work processes and enhance employee wellbeing across our 33 diocesan schools. This is a pivotal position for a compassionate and skilled professional who can balance empathy with compliance and strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, early intervention, and return-to-work plans.
- Liaise with insurers, medical professionals, and key stakeholders.
- Provide expert case management, including complex claims.
- Maintain and enhance injury management systems and compliance (ICARE Portal).
- Develop policies, processes, and proactive strategies for physical and psychological wellbeing.
- Utilise job dictionaries and injury management toolkits effectively.
- Manage the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and supervision/coaching programs.
- Identify and implement wellbeing opportunities aligned with the strategic direction of CEDB.
- Advise and support Principals and managers on compliance and safety culture.
- Deliver training on injury management and wellbeing strategies.

About You
Current accreditation as a Return-to-Work Coordinator.
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing workers’ compensation claims in a medium to large organisation.
Proven success in developing and implementing wellbeing initiatives.
Sound knowledge of NSW/ACT Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislation.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and data analysis skills.
A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel across school locations.
