My client is a reputable financial services organisation based in Orange NSW. They are a small team that deeply care about their people and want them to develop and grow with the organisation.

The Opportunity

Reporting to an experienced and supportive leader, you will be responsible for the management accounting, as well as some financial accounting duties including, but not limited to:

Preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting

Preparation of half-year/annual papers for reporting purposes

Providing commercial insights to drive business performance

Support the team with month-end accounting duties

Support the team with balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow management, tax compliance, AP, AR and payroll

About you

We are looking for a mid to senior level accountant that is looking for more leadership

Minimum five years of experience in a finance related role within a commercial organisation

You must have experience with regulatory reporting

Financial services industry experience would be a bonus but is not required

CA/CPA qualified

Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Confident liaising with senior management

A strong team player with a positive attitude and proactive approach to work

Strong business acumen and ability to deal with business challenges as they arise

This role is not suitable for those coming straight from a chartered accounting firm, commercial experience is required.

Valid Australian work visa is required for this position
