Disability Support Worker - Community Participation & SIL (Illawarra Region)

About the Role
Invigorate Ability is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Illawarra Region. This role involves supporting participants in both Community Participation (CP) programs and within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) home.

You’ll work with a variety of participants across the region, helping them engage in meaningful activities, build life skills, and live as independently as possible. The work is rewarding, diverse, and makes a genuine difference every day.

This position is part-time, though we will consider strong applications requesting casual employment. Flexible availability including afternoons and weekends, is desirable, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support in both community and home settings.

Assist participants in building independence, confidence, and social connections.

Support with personal care, daily living, and community access.

Contribute to the planning and delivery of engaging, goal-driven programs.

Maintain accurate progress notes and uphold NDIS compliance standards.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about empowering people with disabilities and who shares our commitment to quality, inclusion, and respect.

You will:

Hold (or be currently studying) a Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Community Services.

Have experience supporting people with a range of abilities and support needs.

Be reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a strong team.

Bring creativity, positivity, and professionalism to your role each day.

Hold a current Driver’s Licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain these).
