About the role

Mercury Financial Partners is seeking an experienced Manager | Tax & Advisory to join our growing team.

In this full-time role, you will be a key part of our Accounting division, providing high-quality tax and advisory services to our valued clients.

Having only established the Accounting & Advisory arm in early 2024, the business has now grown to a point of requiring another experienced Accountant to join the team.

This newly created role is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented, highly motivated and proactive Accountant to join our growing team.

Due to significant demand and business growth, this role will be critical in helping the business grow & prosper in its formative years - working closely with management in helping shape what the firm will become.

Key Responsibilities:

Get exposure to winning new business; work closely with the Mercury Management & Advice team in helping pitch for and onboard new client groups.

Help us deliver quality service to our existing client base; ensure that we meet our core compliance requirements on behalf of our clients - including but not limited to Tax, BAS, GST, PAYG & SGC lodgements.

Get involved in Advisory & Consulting work; we provide a lot of advisory services to small business clients and in this role you’ll be provided the opportunity to be a subject matter expert in this line of work.

Fast track your career to Associate & Director; being a fast-growing firm, we intend on rewarding & fasttracking the careers of all new Accountants that join our business.

Provide insights and recommendations to support management decisions.

Maintain and improve financial systems, policies, and processes.

Support ad hoc projects and reporting requirements.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA/CA Qualifications

5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation requirements
