Tax Manager

• Part-Time role | 3 days per week, or equivalent
• Shape and lead the Group’s tax strategy across multiple jurisdictions

The Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading international engineering business experiencing strong growth both domestically and overseas. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Tax Manager will take ownership of the Group’s tax function; driving tax strategy, managing compliance and ensuring strong governance across all entities.

With a combination of technical and commercial breadth, this position offers the chance to work across a complex, multinational structure while supporting the ongoing expansion and success of the Group.

The Challenge

As the Tax Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing the Group’s tax strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Managing tax governance frameworks in line with ATO guidelines and best practice.
• Overseeing preparation of income tax returns for the Australian Tax Consolidated Group and ensuring compliance with indirect tax and FBT obligations.
• Reviewing tax effect accounting calculations for half-year and year-end reporting.
• Coordinating with overseas subsidiaries and advisors to manage international tax compliance.
• Ensuring timely and accurate transfer pricing documentation.
• Partnering with the finance team to strengthen internal controls and compliance processes.

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• CA/CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience in tax, having spent time within a Big 4 or second-tier firm desirable.
• Proven expertise managing tax compliance for consolidated groups.
• Experience overseeing overseas tax obligations and liaising with international tax advisors.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and up-to-date understanding of regulatory developments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a continuous improvement approach to systems and processes.
