About the Role
As Tax Manager - Asia Pacific, you'll take the lead in managing US tax reporting and local tax compliance for multiple countries across Australia and Asia Pacific. Working within a global tax centre of expertise, you'll ensure accurate filings, manage audits, and provide expert guidance on operational and strategic tax matters.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, treasury, and HR , to identify risks, enhance controls, and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. This role suits a proactive tax professional who thrives in complex, multicultural environments and enjoys balancing technical precision with strategic influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting across assigned markets.
- Manage tax provisions (ASC 740), audits, and global reporting processes.
- Support transfer pricing analysis, documentation, and strategic tax planning.
- Partner with finance leaders to manage tax risk and ensure timely, compliant filings.
- Oversee cash flow forecasts and budgets related to all tax obligations.
- Maintain robust internal controls and compliance with corporate and regional policies.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance accuracy and reporting efficiency.
About You
You're a CA or CPA-qualified tax professional with experience across regional or multinational environments, capable of managing complexity while maintaining accuracy and collaboration. You bring commercial acumen, clear communication, and a solutions-focused mindset.
You'll have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law (Master's in Tax or Finance desirable).
- 4+ years' experience in a corporate or multinational tax environment.
- Strong understanding of tax effect accounting and US GAAP principles.
- Ability to manage multi-country compliance and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.
- High proficiency in advanced tax systems and data analytics tools.
