About the Role:

A newly created Financial Controller position has been introduced within a growing and well-established construction and property group. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will take ownership of the day-to-day operational finance function and provide leadership to a capable team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering capability and collaboration
• Oversee month-end processes, management reporting and board pack preparation
• Manage the annual audit process and act as key contact for external auditors
• Review and oversee AP, AR, payroll and BAS preparation
• Drive process and systems improvements across the finance function
• Support cash flow management, covenant reporting and QBCC compliance
• Provide financial input to tender submissions and project reviews

About You:

You’re a hands-on finance leader who’s comfortable managing both people and process. You’ll bring a solid technical grounding and the ability to work closely with operational and project teams.

You will ideally have:

• A recognised accounting qualification - CA/CPA or equivalent
• Experience within construction, property or project-based accounting
• Exposure to JobPac or similar ERP systems
• A practical understanding of Power BI or data reporting tools
• A collaborative, approachable leadership style

This role is offering circa $150,000 - $160,000 + superannuation, with the room to negotiate for the right candidate.
