Senior Piping Engineer – Pipe Stress (Prelude PMCT Project)
Short term Contract / Perth-based / Offshore Support

We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Engineer (Pipe Stress) to join the Prelude PMCT project team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major offshore brownfield project, working alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high-quality design and analysis solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed pipe stress analyses using CAESAR II and assess piping systems against new and existing design conditions.

Conduct fitness-for-service assessments for piping components and provide engineering recommendations.

Develop and review engineering calculations and design deliverables, including FIV/AIV/FIP evaluations.

Ensure all work complies with client specifications, project standards, and applicable codes.

Proactively raise and manage technical queries and deviations as required.

Provide construction and offshore site support, responding to technical queries during execution.

Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company and project procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering (or equivalent).

7+ years of experience in piping engineering, with a strong background in pipe stress analysis.

Proficiency in CAESAR II is essential.

Experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably in brownfield projects and construction-led design environments.

Prior construction support experience on operating assets.

Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CPEng, IMechE) is preferred but not essential.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
