Brunel has partnered with a leading global energy operator to recruit a Senior Subsea Valves Engineer to support a major offshore gas development. This role plays a pivotal part in progressing the project towards Final Investment Decision (FID).

Client Details

You will provide specialist technical expertise and engineering leadership for the Subsea Valves package through FEED. This includes supporting design development, vendor engagement, technical assurance, and preparation for execution phase contracting.

Acting as Technical Authority (TA-2), you will drive quality and compliance across specifications, standards, qualification programs, testing, and integration into the broader subsea production system.

Description

• Deliver technical input to subsea valve design, engineering, testing and qualification activities
• Support technical review of vendor proposals, bid evaluations and clarifications
• Coordinate interfaces between internal engineering, FEED contractor and vendors
• Ensure risks are captured, tracked and mitigated in line with project assurance processes
• Participate in and lead technical assurance reviews, design reviews and readiness assessments
• Support preparation of technical documentation, scopes of work and contracting packages for Execute phase
• Contribute to mentoring and knowledge-sharing within project and engineering teams

Profile

• Degree qualification in Mechanical, Subsea, or related Engineering discipline
• Strong subsea project experience, including valve design/procurement/testing
• Strong working knowledge of API, ASME and DNV subsea valve and equipment standards
• Experience managing interfaces between FEED contractors, fabricators and internal engineering teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills in multidisciplinary environments
• Commitment to safety, engineering integrity and high-quality delivery
