About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to support sustaining capital and brownfield projects across the wet plant. This is a hands-on, site-based position suited to someone with a solid SMP background who enjoys seeing projects through from planning to execution. You’ll be working closely with maintenance, operations, and contractors to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes on a busy processing site.

Key tasks

Deliver sustaining capital and maintenance projects across wet plant areas.

Plan, coordinate, and oversee SMP works including structural, mechanical, and piping modifications.

Manage contractors and ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.

Develop and monitor project scopes, schedules, budgets, and reporting.

Drive compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Support shutdown planning and brownfield interface management.

What we’re looking for

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

Proven project engineering experience within mining or mineral processing environments.

Strong SMP background — wet plant experience highly regarded.

Solid understanding of contractor management and site execution.

The offer

Rate: $100–$110 per hour (depending on experience)

Roster: 8:6 FIFO from Perth

Contract: 3-month initial engagement with potential for extension
