About the role

This full-time Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer position at Network Office Sunshine Coast offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in Warana, QLD. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the company's clients IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of its networks and systems.

What you'll be doing

Manage and monitor servers, networks, and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

Implement and maintain security measures to protect the clients IT assets

Perform software updates, patches, and system backups to ensure data integrity

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing their IT-related queries and concerns

Collaborate with the IT team to develop and enhance the company's technological capabilities

Document and maintain detailed records of all IT-related activities and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar systems administration or engineering role

Strong technical expertise in managing Windows and Linux-based servers, networks, Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure environments.

Proficiency in implementing and managing security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and antivirus software

Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with IT team members and end-users

Relevant certifications, such as MCSE, RHCE, or CCNA, are highly desirable

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience with networking technologies (LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPN, firewalls, routing).

Familiarity with backup/recovery software (e.g., Veeam, Datto) and monitoring tools.

Understanding of IT security principles, including endpoint protection and MFA.

Experience with cloud services, scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and virtualization platforms.
