Senior Technical Release Manger

The Senior Technical Release Manger is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the deployment of software releases across multiple environments. This role ensures that releases are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of software development and deployment processes.
Client is seeking a highly organised and delivery-focused Release & Implementation Manager to lead the final stages of delivery across complex enterprise systems.
This role is the critical link between development, infrastructure, and operations, ensuring releases are tightly managed, well-governed, and seamlessly implemented into production.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level release management in complex ICT environments.
• Plan and manage all aspects of the release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordination, and communication.
• Collaborate with development, QA, project teams, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure successful release execution.
• Maintain and improve release processes, tools, and documentation
• Proven track record uplifting release frameworks, tools, and documentation practices.
• Proven experience in IT release management and technical change management, or release coordination
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and government security classifications
• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of program governance, ICT delivery models (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and enterprise change processes
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple teams (Dev, QA, Ops, Vendors, etc)
• Strong stakeholder management skills to handle conflicting priorities and negotiate release schedules
• Analytical and structured thinking with a focus on risk, assurance, and performance metrics.
• Ability to lead cross-program alignment in environments with interdependent delivery streams
