We’re working exclusively with a leading property group to appoint a Project Design Manager who will play a pivotal role across the full lifecycle of residential development projects—from DA through to construction completion.

This is a client-side opportunity ideally suited to someone with a strong foundation in architecture, engineering, or construction, looking to take ownership of design outcomes across high-density residential builds. You'll be coordinating external consultants and managing documentation to drive performance around cost, time, and design quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the design process from DA submission to construction delivery
• Coordinate consultants across architectural, structural, civil, and services disciplines
• Ensure all design documentation complies with building codes, planning requirements, and project briefs
• Conduct technical reviews, manage RFIs, and coordinate shop drawing sign-off
• Implement design programs aligned with procurement and construction schedules
• Provide expert advice on buildability, cost risk, and construction methodologies
• Ensure all DA/CC conditions are addressed in final design outputs
• Collaborate with Development, Construction, and Project teams to drive innovation and consistency

What We’re Looking For:

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or similar
• 5–10 years’ experience in design management, architectural delivery, or client-side project work
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and design best practice
• Ability to challenge consultants constructively and drive high-quality design outputs
• Experience with high-density residential projects is highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
