About the role

Due to a solid book of current projects and a positive forecast, a permanent role has become available for an ambitious yet humble Junior / Graduate Project Engineer to join our team with an immediate start.

Reporting to an experienced Engineer, you will be working on either one or multiple projects within Sydney, NSW or further afield. You will be based out of our modern offices in Mona Vale but will oscillate between the office, your home and our sites.

Tasks and responsibilities

Working closely with project teams from Contract Award through to Handover and end of Defect Liability Period, you will help provide engineering support to the delivery side of the business.

You will consistently be involved in technical planning and quality assurance such as preparing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's). You will also be involved in procurement, site inspections and reporting.

You will prepare detailed drawings (eg: shop drawings, based on engineering drawings) for the site teams to work from and also be involved in creating As-constructed documentation.

You will liaise and build relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers and attend project meetings with client-side stakeholders.

You will be expected to be inquisitive to extend yourself. Ask questions, and learn (yes, this is a task that we expect you to complete!).

Skills and experience

To be successful in this position you will ideally have:

A recently attained civil / structural engineering qualification, or be a student who's eager to learn and get ahead of your peers,

An ability to read and demystify drawings and specifications and apply them at a site level,

Experience in using drafting and design software tools,

Well-developed organisational skills and be self-driven,

Strong communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with people at all levels,

A humble attitude and a thirst to learn,

The ability to obtain a Defence Access Pass, and
