Our Client an Austalian owned Beverage Development and Manufacturing company is a leader in the industry are currently seeking a Production Manager due to rapid growth. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of beverage production — from daily line operations to long-term efficiency improvements. The Production Manager will manage multiple production lines, coordinate staffing and shift schedules, optimise changeovers, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure product quality, safety, and output targets are consistently achieved.

Key Tasks, Activities, and Functions

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of beverage production lines (juices, shots, and functional drinks).
  • Plan and schedule production runs in coordination with demand planning and logistics.
  • Oversee and train production teams to achieve output, quality, and efficiency KPIs.
  • Manage changeovers and line setups for different SKUs and packaging formats.
  • Identify and resolve line breakdowns, bottlenecks, and equipment issues quickly and effectively.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and waste.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety (HACCP), GMP, and workplace health & safety standards.
  • Liaise with maintenance, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth end-to-end production.
  • Maintain accurate records for production, waste, and efficiency tracking.

Qualifications / Skills / Licences Required

  • Experience in beverage, food or FMCG production management.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP and WHS compliance.
  • Microsoft Excel and digital production reporting tools.
  • PLC-controlled production lines and automated filling, capping, labelling, and packaging equipment.
  • Forklift licence (advantageous)

To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills and capabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced production / bottling environment
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Good understanding and use of computers and recording systems - ability to learn
  • Understanding of production and warehouse processes
  • Adherence to occupational health and safety requirements
  • Be motivated with a good work ethic and a keen interest to learn
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
