Overview of the Role

The Partnership and Product Manager - Travel plays a pivotal role in shaping both Travel at 60 & Travel Central’s product offerings and strategic alliances.

This position is responsible for developing compelling travel products, cultivating partnerships with suppliers and affiliates and driving innovation to enhance customer experience and revenue growth.

As a member of the leadership team you will have input into the future direction of the broader business.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will include but not be limited to:

Overseeing the team that negotiates and contracts rates, special offers, allocations, release periods, overrides and terms and conditions.

Management of travel industry supplier relationships

Regular market comparison to compare with competitor product.

Focus on sales performance, analysing weekly product/sales reports to identify market trends and revenue growth opportunities.

Maintain an awareness of new travel trends, styles and destinations.

Collaborate with all relevant internal teams, including Marketing, content and technology to maximise outcomes for the business.

Management of the Product & Contracting Manager & Product Coordinator role/s in order to ensure the team is managed and delivering on key kpis.

Identify, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with tourism industry and destination management companies

Identify, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with aligned partners such as retirement village companies and relevant community service clubs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners to ensure mutual growth and collaboration

Evaluate partner performance and ensure alignment with brand standards and customer expectations

Explore new partnership opportunities to expand market reach and product diversity

Commercial and Financial oversight - Results Driven

Set pricing strategies and manage product margins

Analyze sales data and partner contributions to inform decision-making

Support budgeting and forecasting for product and partnership initiatives

Contribute in a supporting manner to achieve common goals of the team

Education and Experience:

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

Analytical mindset with experience in pricing, performance tracking and market analysis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent product knowledge including fares and ticketing systems

Proficiency with MS office applications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in contracting product within the Australian tourism industry landscape

Track record in business development and proven customer service

Well-developed organisational, administrative and financial skills

Desirable - Proficient in the use of Sabre (GDS) & TravelTek

Creative and innovative in relation to travel trends

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner with others
