The opportunity
Working closely with the Bid Manager and Director of New Business, this is a senior, hands-on leadership role for an experienced Estimator ready to step up and take ownership. You'll lead the estimating function across a range of commercial and community-focused projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and consistency in every tender submission.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage the estimating process from concept through to submission
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documentation
• Review and assess drawings, plans, and specifications
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, risks, and innovative solutions
• Mentor and guide junior estimators to develop their skills

What you'll bring

• 5+ years' experience in commercial estimating, ideally with leadership exposure
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end tender processes
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local regulations
• Proficiency in Cubit, EstimateOne, and Excel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset and genuine team spirit
