About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our team at RL Hill Engineering (Aust) Pty Ltd. This full-time role is primarily based in our Caringbah, NSW office however frequent travel will be required throughout Australia. Role will be responsible for driving business opportunities, expanding our client portfolio and working closely with our existing customer and supplier base locally.

What you'll be doing

Identify and cultivate new business leads through proactive prospecting and networking

Pitch our engineering solutions and services to existing & potential new clients, highlighting the value we provide

Identifying new suppliers along with our existing supplier base understanding their capabilities and providing a level of technical support

Develop and execute strategic sales plans

Provide regular reporting on sales activities and pipeline activities

Foster long-term, collaborative relationships with new and existing clients

What we're looking for

Record of success in new business development or sales, preferably within the engineering industry

Engineering industry experience is mandatory for this role either at a trade or tertiary level

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively pitch our services

Consultative selling approach, with a strong focus on understanding client needs

Excellent networking and relationship-building skills

Resilience and a determined, target-driven mindset

Relevant qualifications in engineering trades would be highly regarded in this role with the ability to understand engineering drawings and process flow
