About the role
Are you a true sales hunter ready to make your mark in Sydney?
This role is a unique opportunity to take ownership of an established and productive region for a growing, family-owned Australian business. While you'll be based from the Western Sydney branch, you are expected to be on the road for the majority of the week, dedicating your time to client sites and business development within the territory.
This is a highly autonomous position where your contribution will directly drive market share. The territory is mature with a strong existing customer base, but your primary focus will be the aggressive development and securing of new business opportunities across the civil, construction, and mining sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the territory.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the Western Sydney market and surrounding regions.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with key decision-makers across existing and prospective accounts.
- Conduct frequent on-site client visits, meetings, and product demonstrations throughout the week.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing the deal.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- A proven background as a proactive sales "hunter" in a Business Development Manager (BDM) role.
- The discipline and drive to excel in an autonomous, high-travel position.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with heavy or related construction machinery.
- A strategic, solution-focused approach to sales, not just quoting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, with an OTE package of around $130k to $150k+ (uncapped) plus super and company vehicle.
