The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia’s most forward-thinking electronic security distributors, known for their agility, technical expertise, and customer-first service.

With a strong national footprint and a reputation for going above and beyond to deliver the right solutions, they supply integrators and security specialists across the country with CCTV, access control, intercoms, solar-powered systems, and complete pre-configured solutions.

Following an internal move, the business is seeking a driven Business Development Manager / Account Manager to take ownership of the NSW market, nurture existing accounts, reignite lapsed clients, and identify new growth opportunities within an established customer network.

The Role

Reporting to the NSW State Manager, you will manage and expand a key customer base of security integrators and contractors across the state.

This is a relationship-led business development role where success comes from understanding your customers’ projects, technical needs, and timelines. You will be supported by a national technical team for pre-configuration, quoting, and design, allowing you to focus on building relationships, creating opportunities, and driving growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of existing integrator and contractor accounts
  • Re-engaging lapsed and inactive customers
  • Generating new business through business development, referrals, vendor leads, and networking
  • Partnering with suppliers on joint campaigns and product launches
  • Collaborating with internal tech support to quote and pre-configure CCTV and access control solutions
  • Conducting client visits and maintaining a visible presence in the market
  • Achieving monthly and quarterly profit-based targets

About You

You are a confident, relationship-driven sales professional who knows how to build trust and deliver value in a technical B2B environment. Ideally, you have experience selling into security, networking, or technology distribution channels, or have worked with integrators or contractors where project-based selling was key.

To succeed, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in B2B business development or account management
  • Background in electronic security, networking, or technical solutions
  • Ability to understand CCTV, NVRs, switches, and how systems fit together
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, energetic approach and desire to grow a market
  • Confidence to own your results and work independently in the field
