About the role
Blueline Laundry is seeking an experienced Manager Asset Reliability and HSE to lead our health, safety and environmental initiatives at our two commercial laundries. The role is based in Hobart, with regular travel to Launceston required. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our critical assets, while also overseeing all aspects of our health, safety and environmental management systems.
What you'll be doing
Engage with OEMs and external contractors to ensure service standards are met, warranties honoured, and lifecycle costs optimised.
Oversee procurement and management of spare parts and consumables, ensuring stock levels are cost-effective and operationally secure.
Lead the management of Blueline’s fleet, including vehicles, safety systems, telematics and compliance with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
Ensure all asset and fleet activities comply with legislative requirements and internal governance policies.
Maintain and continuously improve Blueline’s HSE systems, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, environmental regulations, and ISO 9001/14001 standards.
Develop, document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across operations, ensuring induction, training and compliance monitoring is in place.
Support Operations Managers to embed safety and compliance into daily practice at each site.
Lead incident investigations relating to asset failure, safety or compliance breaches, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are applied.
Report regularly to the COO and Board committees on asset condition, risk, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Actively contribute to organisational sustainability efforts, including resource efficiency and environmental impact reduction.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience in asset management, maintenance planning and reliability engineering
Solid background in health, safety and environmental management, with knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
