For over two decades, this trusted Tasmanian modular builder has delivered high-quality residential and commercial projects across the state. With a reputation for innovation, craftsmanship, and genuine care, the business is now expanding to establish a new modular hire division.
They are seeking a Hire Manager with the commercial acumen, operational expertise, and leadership drive to take its hire operations to the next level by developing a sustainable and commercially successful division that supports projects across the construction, mining, education, and government sectors.

THE ROLE
As Hire Manager, you will be responsible for developing, launching, and managing the modular building hire division. From strategic planning and business development through to daily operations and client satisfaction, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring commercial success and operational excellence. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the modular hire business plan and growth strategy
Build strong client relationships across target industries
Manage hire operations including asset tracking, delivery, maintenance, and retrieval
Oversee budgets, utilisation, and pricing to ensure profitability
Ensure compliance with building, safety, and environmental standards
ABOUT YOU
You are a commercially minded leader with proven experience in modular building, equipment hire, or construction management. Confident in operations, client relations, and business growth, you thrive on building systems, teams, and success from the ground up.
You will bring:
Proven experience in hire operations, business development or construction management
Strong commercial acumen and operational leadership skills
Experience establishing or scaling a business or division
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A proactive, entrepreneurial, and hands-on approach
