About the role

The Section Manager (Registration Services) leads the Land Titles Office team responsible for examining and registering legal instruments lodged under the Land Titles Act 1980, Powers of Attorney Act 2000 and the Registration of Deeds Act 1935. The team also conducts compliance examinations in accordance with the Recorder’s Directions and the Tasmanian Participation Rules.

  • Provide specialist technical and policy advice relating to registration and subdivision services.
  • Lead the team in building skills, enhancing capabilities, and improving work systems.
  • Contribute to the ongoing reform of the Land Titles Office.
  • Support strategic policy initiatives and ensure effective data management and reporting.

  • Expertise in legal documentation examination and ability to assess and process instruments under relevant legislation.
  • Proven capability to lead, mentor and develop staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to contribute to policy development and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • High-level reasoning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to provide expert advice, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive service improvements.
