About the role:
Victoria Police have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Product Specialist to work as part of a specialised team responsible for managing, maintaining and developing our key operational Integration Technology platform. The incumbent will ensure the operation of Victoria Police's key operational Mobile Technology platform is kept at the highest possible standard in accordance with defined ICT frameworks and processes.
This role will be working in a professional, highly dynamic and established team of ICT services professionals and will be regularly exposed to the various disciplines that Victoria Police operates in.

Your duties will include:
- Developing frameworks, techniques and processes to drive and improve the API, Integration Technology platforms and services.
- Responsibility for managing and ensuring the API, Integration Technology platforms and services runs reliably, effectively and efficiently. Succinct and to the point is best.
- Overseeing the implementation of changes, additions and enhancements to the API, Integration Technology platforms and services.
- Ensuring data accuracy, completeness and auditing is maintained with efficient and effective methods to ensure that information is of the highest standard possible.
- Management of Service providers in a multi-vendor environment to ensure required delivery and support.
- Provision of specialist technical authoritative advice supporting the management of product strategy, resolution of escalated issues and mitigation of risks, for the API, Integration Technology platforms and services.
- Maintaining skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in integration development and design role;
- Experience with Axway and CA API Management products or similar.
- Experience developing services on Integration platform such as Mulesoft and TIBCO or similar product;
- Demonstrated experience developing REST/JSON APIs and experience with Identity standards such as OAuth2 and other security standards.
- Experience with Confluent Kafka/other streaming technologies and Springboot is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills together with demonstrated written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing, maintaining and continuously improving ICT products and services in accordance with industry recognised frameworks, standards and systems within a large, highly complex environment.
- Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Department.
Further Information:
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement).
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
