About your new role!
As the Project Manager – ICT Transition (Grade 11/12), you’ll lead a complex transition project to onboard a new Managed Service Provider (MSP) responsible for ICT operational services.
This role focuses on maintaining business continuity, ensuring vendor accountability, and embedding robust Essential Eight and ITIL governance frameworks throughout the transition process. You’ll coordinate the transfer of end-user compute, network, and security services, ensuring a seamless handover to the new provider by April 2026.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the end-to-end transition to a new MSP for ICT operational services
• Embedding Essential Eight controls and ITIL governance across all transition phases
• Overseeing cutover planning, service acceptance, and readiness activities
• Managing complex vendor ecosystems and stakeholder expectations
• Coordinating internal technical resources and service partners to deliver milestones
• Maintaining alignment between operational resilience and transition timelines
• Providing clear reporting, risk management and documentation for executive oversight

About You!
You’re a structured, delivery-focused ICT leader with a proven ability to manage complex transitions in live operational environments.
You’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading ICT transition or MSP migration projects
• Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, Essential Eight compliance and operational assurance
• Hands-on understanding of end-user compute, cloud, network, and security platforms
• Excellent vendor management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-governance setting
• Proven success delivering projects to tight timeframes and quality standards
• Previous NSW Government or critical infrastructure experience preferred

Contract Length: Until April 2026 (ASAP start)
Pay Rate: $1,499/day (inclusive of superannuation)
Hours: 40 hours/week | Full-time
Location: Sydney CBD | Hybrid (2 days in office)
Team Structure: 2 direct reports + internal architecture and vendor support
Reporting to: Director, ICT Operations
