Due to a recent promotion, there is 1 x fixed-term position as a Senior Policy and Project Officer available until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, in the Aviation Team administering the Regional Airfare Zone Cap Scheme.

This and possible future roles within the Freight, Ports, Aviation and Reform directorate will:

Support the research and development of policy to inform long term investment, policy and governance.

Collate and evaluate data to support performance monitoring to underpin strategic decisions presented at senior executive and ministerial levels.

Develop, implement, and manage tenders and contracts in a complex economic and regulatory environment.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Additional opportunities in our directorate are anticipated with new initiatives and policies regularly being introduced for development.

These roles are focused on strategic policy and planning and are not operational roles that deal with managing or overseeing day-to-day transport operations. Previous experience in transport-related industries or government is not required.
