About the Role
We’re looking for a Coordinator Garinga Djimbayang (Horticulture) to play a key role in delivering a culturally grounded horticulture training program that connects learning with Country, community, and culture. In this role, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Certificate II in Horticulture pilot programs across multiple locations, supporting students, staff, and community partners to ensure a high-quality and meaningful training experience. You’ll oversee student data and progress, assist with timetabling and educator work plans, and help maintain compliance with ASQA standards.
You’ll also work closely with First Nations learners, Elders, and organisations to deliver hands-on, land-based training. You will oversee curriculum development, staff coordination, and stakeholder engagement, and conduct regular visits to each pilot site, helping to shape a program that strengthens skills, culture, and connection to place.
About You
You’re an organised and collaborative professional who enjoys working with people and building strong connections across teams and communities. You bring experience in coordinating projects or programs and have the confidence to manage multiple priorities while supporting others to deliver their best work.
You’ll also bring:
Minimum of five years’ experience coordinating and supporting the work and diverse needs of a large group of people
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders in a collaborative way
Ability to influence and support change in a positive and constructive manner
Experience implementing systems and processes that drive continuous improvement
Strong IT skills, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) – desirable
Relevant tertiary qualification in management, business, project management, or horticulture – desirable
Specialist knowledge and experience in the horticulture or related industry – desirable
